NEXBOOK-L

NexBook L is designed to promote normal digestive function, making it a valuable option for individuals dealing with gastrointestinal issues.

THERAPY AREA: Gastroenterology/Phy
FORM: Tablet
PACKAGING: 10 x 10 Tablets

NexBook L, with Levosulpiride as its active ingredient, exerts its prokinetic effects by blocking dopamine receptors and activating serotonin receptors. This dual action leads to an increased release of acetylcholine, which, in turn, enhances GI peristalsis and raises lower esophageal sphincter pressure, ultimately preventing reflux of GI contents and promoting normal digestive function.

Mode Of Action:

Levosulpiride, found in NexBook L, operates through a dual mechanism of action, employing both dopamine receptor blockade and serotonin receptor agonism.

Dopamine (D2) Receptor Blockade: Levosulpiride blocks enteric dopamine (D2) receptors, both neuronal and muscular. By inhibiting dopamine receptors, Levosulpiride reduces the inhibitory signals in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Dopamine typically exerts inhibitory control, and by blocking its receptors, Levosulpiride enhances the release of acetylcholine.
Serotonin (5-HT4) Receptor Agonism: Levosulpiride acts as an agonist at serotonin (5-HT4) receptors. Stimulation of serotonin receptors, specifically the 5-HT4 subtype, further enhances the release of acetylcholine in the GI tract.
