Pharmacokinetics

Sildenafil Citrate is rapidly absorbed after oral administration, with absolute bioavailability of about 40%.. It is eliminated predominantly by hepatic metabolism (mainly cytochrome P450 3A4) and is converted to an active metabolite with properties similar to the parent, sildenafil. Sildenafil was rapidly cleared from the body with a plasma elimination half-life of approximately 3–4 h over the dose range of 25 and 200 mg.

Contraindications :

In multiple myeloma, leukemia, sickle cell anemia and certain other conditions. Full list available on request.
